The project consisted of construction of a new platform between existing live rail tracks and glazed structural steelwork footbridge with DDA compliant passenger lift.

The complete scope included new drainage, lighting, power upgrade, live passenger data displays, safety critical CCTV ‘Driver Only’ operating system and demolition of redundant platform.

The project was managed through outline design including extensive ground investigations, procurement of target-price principle contractor to final account.

Significant work was required to demonstrate that the new platform could be constructed safely around the operating railway with limited use of disruptive possessions and obtain key agreements with Network Rail including the BAPA, APA, safety strategy and possession strategy.
