This project was part of the National Station Improvements Programme enhancements and was awarded 3rd place in the ACoRP 2011 Station Development category awards.
The station improvements comprised refurbishment of 2 waiting rooms, 3 passenger toilets, new staff toilet, preparatory work for re-instated café and staff Personal Needs Break re-location. Waiting room work included introduction of CCTv, PA system, CIS, access for all automated doors and enhanced lighting.
Support was provided from Business Case development from securing external funding, consents (Listed Building, Building Regulations, Station Change, Landlord's Consent), procurement of various supply chains through to close-out and drawdown of external funding contributions.
